About Rose Mary Gates

I am an oil painter living on the coast of Connecticut, USA. Currently I live steps from the beach and am fascinated by the sights and sounds of the ocean. Capturing the movement and force of the waves and the universal appeal of the beach has been my recent focus.I hope the viewer is also captivated by the beauty and wonder of the sea,
I currently work in oils, I have also worked with pastels, watercolors and colored pencil drawings. My education includes a BS in Art Education, an MS in Art Education and an MS in TESOL.
